Similarly, in March 2023 artist Boris Eldagsen won the Sony World Photography Awards with his photograph Pseudomnesia: The Electrician. The artist refused the prize after revealing the deception.
In 2020, on Christmas Day, a video was released featuring the Queen of England giving her famous annual speech. In it, she tackles controversial subjects not usually discussed by royalty. The video was a deepfake, intended to show just how dangerous this technology can be.
